Late payment rate could reach 20%, credit association assesses -
According to the Association of Spanish financial institutions (ASNEF), late payments on consumer credits could reach 20% by end 2009. Since the beginning of 2008, it has been increasing by 1.5 percentage point every quarter, ASNEF President Jose Maria Garcia Alonso said to the press on 31st March.

British card issuers are to share an increased wealth of customer information -
From December 2008, five British credit card issuers (Barclaycard, Capital One, GE Money, HBOS and MBNA) will share, in collaboration with credit reference agencies, new data concerning customer accounts and their credit utilisation patterns.
